NBL: Our Saviour pick crucial win over KIU Titans

Our Saviour emerged 51-77 winners over KIU Titans during their Tusker Lite National Basketball League (NBL) clash on Saturday at the YMCA basketball court in Wandegeya, Kampala.
The win was a good consolation for Our Saviour who had suffered a terrible 70-47 loss against trailblazing Nam Blazers the previous day at the same venue.
The victory also puts Our Saviour at a good position to secure a playoffs slot as they are currently eighth on the 13-team table with 33 points after 23 games (10 wins and 13 losses).
KIU Titans are however third on the table with 39 points after 24 games and after playing all their games of the regular season, they have a secured a playoffs slot.
On Saturday, Moses Mugisha was one of the standout players for Our Saviour as he shot 11 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Henry Ssebagala however managed 15 points and 2 rebounds.
In a losing effort, Stanley Mugerwa led KIU Titans with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Joseph Dramaza had 8 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist whilst Arnold Kisekka managed 8 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist.
Meanwhile, Nam Blazers now have a 13-game unbeaten run after posting a 113-55 win over Tropic Royals. This is their second century win this season with the first one having come against the now relegated Falcons.
Falcons on the other hand have finished the season without a single victory remaining the only winless side across all top tier divisions (men and women). They lost 73-45 to UCU Canons on Saturday and their season has been the one to forget.
I the other games, Ndejje Angels managed a slim 76-73 win over Victoria University whilst JKL Dolphins beat KCCA FC 68-74.
The Tusker Lite National Basketball League continues on Sunday with the regular season now in its climax.
