Obua: Cranes’ Problems Not Yet Solved

Former Uganda Cranes star David Obua

Fading football star David obua admits that sacking Bobby Williamson is not the solution to the fainted Ugandan football dome. The former cranes star who fell-out with the FA and Cranes technical bench in 2011 ahead of an 2012 AFCON qualifier against Kenya after skipping the President Museveni’s visit to the camp, understands that it’s the headers of the game that need reshuffle as they do serve own

“The people at the top in the FA are simply thinking about money and unless there is a change in management in football in the country,
Uganda’s problems will not be solved now.” The left footed winger told MTN football publication.

Obua argue that there is much need to change in FUFA’s management and also one league should be adopted in order for proper flow and if that
is.  “In Uganda there are two parallel Leagues now and the top administrators in the FA are not for football but selfish interests. Unless that is sorted out then changing coaches is simply going backwards and not solution to the problem,”.

But the lad would not wish to don cranes shirt he throw down again even if he is given chance. “We played our role together with the
former skipper Ibrahim Ssekagya and Nestory Kizito and there is no turning back. Let the younger players play their roles as well,” he said.

David had two weeks training with South African Premier Super League side University of Pretoria
