Police Nets Over 160 Members of B13 Criminal Gang Terrorizing Wakiso

At least 160 suspects were arrested on Friday during a Joint intelligence led operation which was conducted in the areas of Nakuwadde, kireka Bulenga – Kikaya village and Gogonya village Nakabugo parish wakiso Sub County in Wakiso district.

According to Luke Owoyesigire the deputy Police spokesperson for Kampala metropolitan police, the operation was due to public outcry following increased criminality in the above mentioned areas.

‘’We received information that criminal elements frequent B 13 bar in Nakuwade and we stormed the hideout. A group of B13 criminal gang was arrested’’, said Owoyesigire.

The suspects are currently detained at different police stations in Wakiso Policing area pending prosecution.

‘’Exhibits of narcotic substances and suspected stolen items were recovered on the suspects’’, added Owoyesigire.
