POLICE STOPS NAGY, MUGULA FIGHT

Police on Friday stopped the fight between Uganda’s kick boxer Mugaru and Nagy that was supposed to take place at kyadondo rugby grounds.
Addressing journalists CPS Kampala metropolitan spokesperson Ibin Senkumbi said police stopped the fight after organizers failed to inform police that the fight was being organized so that police can provide security for the people who were going to watch.
Police sighted terrorism threats in the country and therefore can not allow any activity to take place without, their consent.
Senkumbi further said that the organizers deliberately refused to contact police saying that security will be provided by UPDF but as police we are mandated to protect people’s lives and their properties . As result we have stopped it and if they want it back they will have to apply officially and be given security.
Police said that it must be informed in advance so that it can bring its sniffer dogs surround the whole place and give necessary manpower for the whole event.

Police should stop pretending that they are doing a lot while doing nothing!! are they going to import the sniffer dogs? how long do they need so that the organisers can rush and ensure that the fight goes on as scheduled? if the police can have man power to guard people like Desh Kananura, why not guard our young men who want to make international names and images? i thought police was becoming un necessarily excessive on political rallies and gatherings, but for players, let us stop that police arrogancy.
I 100% agree with you Afande Ibin, let you and your boys be notified first,otherwise if anything happens, they will begin blaming you for this and that..Good way to go Afande!!!!

That is it, Police must be let free to do their job. if they just sit back and wait, and by bad luck something happenes, all Ugandan will start abusing police, critisizing the govt. BRAVO POLICE.
