Presidential Aspirant Prof Venansius Baryamureeba has picked nomination forms ahead of 2016 presidential elections.
The former Makerere University Vice Chancellor, Baryamureeba arrived at the Electoral Commission headquarters at mid day flanked by a number of his supporters.
He said that he expects to win the presidential elections with a big margin.
“I am running for president, and expect to win by a very huge margin, in round one”
He also said that president Museveni has done well but he should retire and go to Rwakitura, his ancestral home.
“Museveni has done well, over the past 30 years. He’s loved, he is old. I respect him, and let him retired peacefully at Rwakitura,” Barya said.
Baryamureeba confirmed that he is not part of The Democratic Alliance (TDA).
He blasted the coalition for failure to present contestants at all levels and said that they (TDA) will only present a candidate at presidential level.
