RWANDA: Grenade Attack Kills one, Injures 8

A grenade blast has killed one person and injured 8 others in Rwanda. The blast occurred next to a public market at Kimironko, a suburb of the Rwandan capital Kigali on Tuesday evening.

An eye witness told Police that the grenade was tossed by unidentified person at the entrance between the market entrance and the taxi park.

Theos Badege, the spokesperson Rwanda Police says they have arrested two suspects in connection to the blast. The identities of the suspects were not readily available by the time of filing this story.
He says that grenade victims are receiving treatment at Kibagabaga Hospital. Badege has called for calm amongst residents saying the situation is under control.
