SCVU Coach Byekwaso Denies Denis Guma And Ochan Disruptive Influence

SC Victoria University head coach Morley Byekwaso has rubbished reports that senior players have become a disruptive influence.
Uganda Cranes regulars goalie Benjamin Ochan, defenders Savio Kabugo, Murishid Jjuuko and Denis Iguma have been accused and allegedly suspended by club owner, Serbian Simo Dubajic of showing dissent by plotting a mega strike of fellow playing staff as impeccably reported by our sister daily Hello! Uganda.
But Byekwaso tells Red Pepper Online edition: “No, no, no, no. Those reports are not true but sometimes people will speak about the club, but nothing happens.
“They are our players, very important to the team but ofcourse can’t be allowed to misbaehave.”
Byekwaso added: “We have not been playing well for a while but things will be better sooner than later.
The quartet was not part of the Victoria side that luckily overcame highflying Police FC on Tuesday n the Uganda Premier League (UPL) at Namboole.
Matthew Odong scored the game’s lone goal on 80 minutes, which was also the university side’s only second strike in seven matches.
Victory moved coach Morley Bwekwaso’s side two places up to ninth with as many points while defeat for the Cops saw Angelo Lonyesi’s men drop one to fourth with 12 points.
Sources told Hello! Uganda the senior players opted to strike after going three months minus pay.
