Security Guard Sentenced to 5 years In Jail for Attempted Murder

Alex Kadidi, 32, a security guard working with Security Plus Limited was on Monday morning convicted and sentenced to 5 years in prison over attempted murder.
Kadidi, a resident of Ntawo, Mukono district on November 19, 2015, shot Carol Natukunda, 23, after she denied him sex.
According to Agnes Nkonge, the Mukono Chief Magistrate who presided over the case in her chambers, Kadidi who had taken long pursuing the house girl of his employer, Engineer Akampulira proceeded to the second floor of the house with his gun and shot Natukunda after denying her sex.
“On the fateful night of November 19, 2015, Kadidi tried to convince Natukunda to sleep with him whereby she refused prompting him to try to rape her hence shooting her in the process,” Nkonge said.
She added that Kadidi then took off leaving Natukunda in a pool of blood and was later on rushed to Mukono Health Centre IV.
Kadidi will serve his five year sentence at Kauga Prison in Mukono.
