There is excitement in Kampala as music fans gear up for what many are calling the ‘2016 Christmas concert’ that will see multi-talented songstress Iryn Namubiru set Kampala Serena Hotel on fire in a thrilling musical act.

This Friday, award winning Namubiru will be holding a mega concert dubbed ‘One Night Only’ at Serena with many of the city’s creme de la cream and a host of artists expected to attend.

According to information from the Birowozo singer’s camp, Friday’s musical act will be different from what her fans are used to it and will see her do a mix of her old and new hits.

“It’ll be a blend of old and new music by Iryn, featuring a band made up of Uganda’s most talented backup vocalists and instrumentalists,” a source who managed to access part of the schedule.

On Saturday, Iryn who begun the journey for female artists tweeted saying her ‘Nkuweeki’ hit…yes that one that had many if us believing that Ugandans can do it will set it off.

“first Major hit, First on the List ,” she tweeted on Saturday just to give fans a feel of what they should expect.
