Thiery Henry Nominated For MLS MVP Award
Former Arsenal and French international striker Thiery Henry is among the three players who have been nominated for Major League Soccer’s Most Valuable player.
According to the league, the former French international finished among the top three in the poll of MLS players, coaches, club officals and media.
Henry has found the net fifteen times for his club New York Red Bulls although they were eliminated from the Eastern Conference semi finals by DC United.
The others nominated alongside Henry are San Jose Earthquakes striker Chris Wondolowski and Sporting kansas midfielder Graham Zusi.
A world cup winner with the French national side in 1998, Thiery Henry spent eight years at English Premier League side Arsenal before joining European giants Barcelona. He is Arsenal’s top goal scorer of all time with 185 goals.
In 2009, Henry managed to win the UEFA Champions League trophy that had eluded him while still playing Arsenal. He joined New York Red Bulls in 2009.
