Titus Tugume gave Ugandans early Easter celebrations when he thumped  Hungarian Kick boxer, Szabo Sandor, in an international Super Middle Weight fight held at Agip Motel in Mbarara over the weekend.

Tugume ‘The Hard Rock’ collected 50 points against 45 in the five rounds and these were enough for referee Wandera Charles and the 3 judges to pronounce him the overall winner of the larger-than-life battle which saw fans cheering from its beginning up to the end.

Titus who is also a UPDF soldier was so happy dedicated the win to  his mother and the fans that turned up in big numbers “Am very happy for this victory, it gives me the courage to fight Moses Golola in June

“I read the white man, he wanted to knock me out with his jabs but for me I guarded and I kept him off at a distance with front kicks” tugume said

Szabo who don’t know English admitted the loss, blaming the long distance he travelled from Entebbe airport to the venue (Mbarara) “My opponent was technically better on the night, but the long distance I travelled to the venue was disgusting”, he said through his interpreter.

Titus Tugume will come back in the rings on 19th of June to meet motor Mouthed kick boxer Moses Golola at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.
