Uganda Cranes Play Ethiopia Again

Brian Umony hopes to feature despite the injury scare

CECAFA Tusker cup Champions Uganda Cranes today evening face off with Africa cup of nations bound Ethiopian antelopes in the last quarter final game at Namboole stadium.

The two sides met in the group stages with the cranes beating the horn of Africa nation 1-0. However, the clash will not be an easy one considering the unpredictability of the Ethiopia antelopes.
Uganda cranes have been in scintillating form since the tournament started and are the only team who have not conceded a goal or lost a game.
Uganda’s only worry going into the game is lethal striker Brian Umony’s fitness. The striker was until yesterday nursing a heel injury he picked up in Uganda’s 4-0 drubbing of newcomers South Sudan in which he bagged a brace.
However, the striker hopes he can return for today’s clash.
““I am very optimistic I will be ready for the quarterfinals and am looking forward to playing almost all the matches for my team and help them retain the title,”
In the other quarter final game, Kenya play tournament guests Malawi 4pm at Namboole stadium, Tanzania and Zanzibar are the teams that have so far qualified for the semi-finals.
