UGANDA TO HOST AFRICA WATER CONGRESS

The government of Uganda will host the 20th Africa Water Association International conference and exhibition in the coming week.
The opening ceremony will be held on Monday 24th February at the Kampala Serena Conference Center, Victoria Hall starting at 9:00 am. The conference is to be hosted by The Government of Uganda, through the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC).
The four-day event will run from February 24 to 27 under the theme; “Breaking new grounds to accelerate access to water and sanitation for all” The Congress will see over 1,000 delegates and exhibitors from over 100 water utilities across Africa converge in Kampala to discuss how to break new ground to accelerate access to water and sanitation for all in Africa.
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will be the Chief Guest. The conference is hosted every two years in different African countries and this is Uganda’s chance to enhance the exchange of ideas and recent developments in the water and sanitation sector. Bamako, the Malian capital hosted the last Congress (19th AfWAICE) in February 2018
