Ugandan ‘Wife Killer’ Netted In Nairobi

Kenyan Police has repatriated a Ugandan man, Moses Muhangi suspected of killing his estranged wife Josephine Nambogo. Muhangi was recently arrested by Interpol-Kenya from his hiding place in Nairobi.


Muhangi is thought to have stabbed Nambogo whom he waylaid at her parents residence in Namasuba along Entebbe Road after their relationship went sour. Nambogo’s body was found decapitated outside her parents’ gate on the fateful day.

Nambogo, the mother of the suspect’s two kids was killed about two months ago.

Muhangi alias ‘Hips’ is currently being detained at Katwe Police Station awaiting trial, Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson Patrick Onyango has said.

“Interpol Uganda requested their Kenyan counter to trace for and arrested Muhangi for the alleged crime he committed in Kampala,” Onyango added. He will be charged with murder.

After the alleged crime and escape to Kenya, the suspect posted on his Facebook wall: “I know we are going be together soon because I have nothing more left, for I pray that our babies find peace and Joy in this world. I love you.”
