Ugandan Journalist Arinaitwe Rugyendo Appointed Crans Montana Forum Member
Uganda’s Arinaitwe Rugyendo who is also the mighty Red Pepper’s Director for Marketing and Digital Media has been appointed as a member of the Prestigious Crans Montana Forum of New leaders for tomorrow. His membership to the Forum took effect last month.
Rugyendo who will be a member of this organization for the next three years was selected because of his proven record as a chief marketing officer of the mighty Red Pepper together with his commitment to several social and community organizations.
Crans Montana Forum is a Swiss owned international Organization established in 1986 whose number one goal is to build a more humane and impartial world.
The notable members of this group include Kenya’s Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Civil rights movement icon Rev Jesse Jackson and Donald Kaberuka, the President of the African Development Bank among others.
Rugyendo joins a group of young leaders who are expected to shape the new global agenda in relation to the south-south cooperation (South America, Africa, Arab states and Far East).
The south-south cooperation is an annual gathering of decision makers from around the world whose aim is to address the challenges of the Arab-African cooperation.
This year’s 7th Port and South-South cooperation summit will be held from the 6th to the 9th of March in the Belgian capital Brussels. Rugyendo has been invited to the summit.
Rugyendo’s appointment to this organization puts a seal of approval to the tremendous contribution he has made to the development of society and the inspiration he gives many.
This appointment is a plus for Rugyendo who is also a fellow of the Archbishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Program whose aim is to build a network of inspirational leaders to tackle Africa’s most critical problems.
International Television Al Jazeera will on Thursday launch a series of documentaries about the Archbishop Tutu Leadership program to showcase to the world Africa’s emerging leaders also known as the Tutu Fellows.
