The president elect of the republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta and our very own prime minister Amama Mbabazi have today in different statements congratulated the newly elected Pope Francis 1.

In his message Uhuru intimated that the values of the Catholic Church: love for brother and love for service are reflected in Kenya’s own Anthem and constitution and hence have served the world well and urged the Pope to remain stead fast and continue to champion those values.

Amama Mbabazi in his message congratulated the Pope and all th1.2 billion Catholics of the world. He then went a head to say that Africa waits its turn.

Pope Francis 1 is the first Latin American pope. He is known to be down to earth, the kind of man who wouldn’t mind travelling by public means. Given that his father was a railway worker, he prefers traveling underground. He resides in a small apartment outside Buenos aires in a life of solitude.
