Students, led by the guild president Ivan Bwowe, arrived at the main hall at 10am to deliver a petition in which they challenge the 10% tuition fees increment suggested by the University management.

United States agency for International Development (USAID) yesterday announced its move to inject $ 25m(over shs 656 billion) to boost the new partnership resilient Africa Network (RAN).

The announcement was made by the USAID’S head of science and technology Dr Alex Dehgan while launching RAN at Sheraton Hotel Kampala.

The function was graced by the 2nd deputy Prime Minister Gen. Moses Ali, Health Minister Ruhakana ugunda and Makerere University Chancellor Mondo kagonyera among others.

Makerere University School of Public Health will Partner with institutions from USA which include Stanford, Tulane and Center for Strategic and International studies(CSIS)
