Winnie Nwagi, Daphne K Locked In Bitter Beef

There is bitter beef raging on between Swangz Avenue singers Winnie Nakanwagi aka Winnie Nwagi and Daphne Kayondo Najjuko alias Daphne K.
According to sources, Daphne K is a backup singer and instrumentalist at Swangz Avenue, who is often used to backup artistes and play instruments for them.

However, we are told that Nwagi has since rejected Daphne’s services, whereby she doesn’t want her backup and instead performs with other girls whenever she has a gig.
Although it is not yet clear why Nwagi hates Daphne K so much to the extent of rejecting her services, it should be noted that she is not the only artist signed to Swangz Avenue that she beefs.

Nwagi some time back was beefing with singer Irene Ntale when she was still under Swangz Avenue. Sources reveal that Ntale fled Swangz Avenue after finding herself in endless clashes with Nwagi. The two often fought over supremacy, money and favours from their bosses until Ntale decided to quit.

Following Ntale’s exit, the Swangz Avenue bosses decided to fill the vacuum she had left behind by bringing singer Veronica Lugya aka Vinka, who was her (Ntale’s manager) on board as an artiste.
But Nwagi did not take long to make it known to all and sundry that she hated Vinka and vehemently rejected all proposals for a truce between them.

On realizing that Vinka would also quit, the Swangz Avenue bosses compelled Nwagi to record a collabo with her titled ‘Amaaso’, which turned out to be a great hit, although it didn’t really unite both singers and to date they have a hate-like thing going on between them.

It is said their beef sparked off after Nwagi blamed Vinka for stealing the show, because Swangz Avenue bosses Julius Kyazze and Benon Mugumbya had allegedly concentrated more on her (Vinka) and neglected her (Nwagi).

Matters between them worsened however when Vinka signed a deal with international music label Sonny, which didn’t go down well with Nwagi.
But after failing to put down Vinka, sources at the Muyenga based music label reveal that Nwagi has since turned her guns onto Daphne K!
