Though banned by deputy chief justice Steven Kavuma, FDC is planning countrywide wide demonstrations on Thursday to showcase their dissatisfaction with the manner in which presidential elections were held.

Museveni said that those planning to disturb peace are deceiving themselves. He argued that government has got the capacity to deal with them.

“Nobody has the capacity to disturb our peace. Those who are deceiving themselves have been deceiving themselves for a long time but our capacity today is even greater than it was in the past,” he said.

Museveni further noted; “Therefore there is no way anybody can disturb our peace. And the sooner those who deceive themselves stop doing that.”

FDC has set 12th May, the day when Museveni will be sworn in as a day also to swearing in of Dr. Kizza Besigye. The party says it is ready to form a government.

Kizza Besigye on Tuesday said president Museveni “has no qualifications to be sworn in” and “It should be the task of Ugandans to stop him.”
