Gulu police are holding a woman accused of defiling two teenagers. The suspect is 37-year-old Betty Adong, a resident of Ocim Village in Jaka Parish in Lalogi Sub-County Gulu District.
The suspect allegedly defiled the teenagers aged between 14and 15 years separately on August 27th when she visited their parent’s home.
It is alleged that, Adong who was allocated another room, sneaked into the boys room at night and lured them into having sex with her.
However, luck ran out for Adong when the boy’s father heard them discussing their sexual experience with the suspect. The matter was reported to Lalogi police post, which swung into action and picked up the suspect.
Jimmy Patrick Okema, the Aswa Regional Police Spokesperson says the suspect is currently being held at Gulu Central Police Station. He says medical examinations carried out on the boys show that they were defiled.
Okema says they also intend to carry out a medical examination of the suspect to ascertain her mental and health condition.
Adong faces charges of defilement and incest since she is related to her victims. According to the penal code act, Adong is liable to imprisonment for seven years or life, once found guilty of incest.
Last month, Amuru police also arrested a 56-year-old woman on allegations of defiling a 10-year-old boy.
