It was pomp and glamour as Michael Kwarikunda Mbareeba Personal Assistant of Rubanda County MP Moses Kamuntu walked down the aisle Elizabeth Kiconco at Uganda Martyrs University Chapel Rushoroza in Kabale district.

The two lovebirds swore before Rev. Fr Marius Byamukama the Kitanga Parish Priest in Rukiga who was the chief celebrant as well as friends and relatives to love each other for better for worse till death parts them.
31 years Mbareeba the Rukiga District Forum for Democratic Change Chairperson was the Rukiga Vice chairperson but in the 2021 elections he stood for the Rukiga LC5 but lost to NRMs Robert Mbabazi Kakwerere is now currently working as the personal assistant to Rubanda West MP Moses Kamuntu.
Jack Sabiti The former Rukiga county Member of Parliament and one of the founders of Forum for Democratic Change party (FDC) who is political mentor to Mbareba said that Kigezi Sub region and Uganda at large currently need people like Michael Kwarikunda Mbareeba, who has on several occasions sacrificed to work, unite and embrace cooperation without segregation in religion, political parties, age among other things. Sabiti asked Michael Mbareeba to stay strong and energetic, love his district, region, and country and stay committed to his political party.

Jack Sabiti has termed the failure of Forum for Democratic Change party FDC to work with the National Resistance Movement party to discrimination spearheaded by the ruling National Resistance Movement party that has made some of its political head’s call themselves kings.
“Politics of Uganda lost meaning after the ruling party declined to always take advice from opposition parties, something that has made leaders leaning on the ruling party, to take themselves as kings and shunning away from remembering the needs of electorates and fulfilling their manifesto”. Said Sabiti.
He also asked the head of ruling party, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and Members of Parliament to have focus, see far and embrace the seed of Unity, leave out discrimination and segregation amongst Ugandans in order to build a country where one would enjoy his or her freedom.
“My appeal and desire is to see Uganda being for us non matter the political parties, religious affiliations and tribes. Whether you are A Mukiga, Muganda, Munyakore, Muteso, Mulango, Mukonjo, Muhiima, Mugisu among other tribes, we all need freedom and Unity to love our country” Sabiti Said.
David Bahati the Minister of State for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives asked Mbareeba to take his marriage as a blessing from God, guard it well for it’s a strong foundation towards building the nation. He asked the couple to plan well together for their family, give birth to children they can look after in order to have a successful marriage.
Catherine Atwakire Ndamira The Kabale district woman Member of Parliament and her Rubanda district counterpart Prossy Mbabazi Begumisa asked men to always give a chance to girls, to first grow and attain Education so that they can Marry Educated and Mature wives that can be responsible for their families.
They asked the couple to be in love, love one another and as well take charge of looking after one another.
They later held their reception at Rose gardens in Kabale Municipality which was characterized with eating , drinking where drinks flowed like River Nile that was attended by A-listers include Minister Henry Musasizi, Wilfred Niwagaba MP Ndorwa East county, Bish Ndyomugyenyi Roland MP Rukiga county , Prossy Akampurira the Rubanda woman MP, Catherine Ndamira the Kabale woman MP ,Namanya Naboth Member of Parliament Rubabo county ,Nelson Nshangabasheija the Kabale LC5 chairman , Stephen Ampaire Kasyaba, Rubanda LC5 chairman among others.
