Ramsey Nouah, one of Nigeria’s most celebrated actors, has arrived in Uganda for the IKON Awards: Film and Television, which will take place Saturday at Kampala Serena Hotel.
Nouah, who has starred in several popular Nollywood Films such as “Living in Bondage”, “Merry Men”, and “76”, is set to be a special guest at the Awards Ceremony.
The Ikon Awards aim to recognize and reward outstanding efforts in the film industry across different categories, nurturing a spirit of entrepreneurship, enterprise, and leadership among the youth and consequently encouraging innovation, job creation, and high-value businesses in the film industry.
Also, the awards aim at creating a wider platform to advance film advocacy for issues affecting youth, influence policy action and create a networking opportunity for the nominees and partners, and create a platform for young people to showcase their craft through storytelling in the Film and Television industry.
Awards will also provide an opportunity for Ugandan creatives to create globally appealing content to be appreciated both locally and internationally.

I look forward to meeting and celebrating with some of the most talented and creative people in the industry but most importantly to empower young people and remind them that every dream can be achieved as long as you’re intentional and willing to learn,” said Nouah Upon his arrival in Kampala.
