How the Uganda players rated against Tanzania

Frank Kalnda scores Uganda's firts goal on Saturday
The Cranes qualified for the 2014 Africa Nations Championship after beating Tanzania 3-1 and qualifying on a 4-1 goal aggregate. Below is how the players’ performance was rated.
Hamza Muwonge (5) – The experienced goalkeeper who did well in the first leg in Dar es Salaam was a little shaky and kept off his line this time round. No wonder he conceded a goal form a seemingly simple Amri Kiemba shot.
Hassan Wasswa (7) – Again the midfielder/defender showed his true leadership skills on the pitch and maturity as he kept the Taifa Stars’ penetration at bay, especially in the second half.
Nicholas Wadada (7) – Despite being outplayed by Mrisho Ngassa in the first half, the defender made several clever interceptions which kept Uganda in the match.
Habib Kavuma (6) – The defender who missed the first leg because he was serving suspension after the 2011 CHAN tournament, gave a good account of himself although he was out stretched in the first half.
Savio Kabugo (6) – The SC Victoria defender who has been nursing an ankle injury in the last three days, was caught off guard several times because of slow reaction. But he also made a number of good clearances to deny the Taifa Stars forwards.
Richard Kasaga (7) – He enjoyed a good game and showed lots of focus for most of the game keeping a close eye on the Taifa Stars attackers.
Denis Iguma (7) – Despite scoring the winning goal in the first leg, the midfielder was a little lost in the first half, but showed his brilliance and determination on resumption.
Saidi Kyeyune (5) – The URA FC midfielder did not have a good outing as he lost many balls and was later replaced in the second half. His performance was below par compared to the first leg.
Joseph Mpande (5) – Apart from the few shots he tried at goal, the player did not have a very good game and was also replaced by Simon Okwi.
Frank Kalanda (9) – He came on as a substitute in the first leg, but showed his good finishing with a brace as he made his second appearance in a national team jersey. Although the player is a little slow in reaction, his clever movement and strength gave the Taifa Stars defenders lots of trouble.
Brian Majwega (9) – Just like during the first leg in Dar es Salaam, the talented KCCA FC player was a thorn for the Taifa Stars defenders. He scored the second goal from a penalty.
Substitutes:
Ivan Ntegge (6) – He came on as a second half substitute and made an impact. He showed lots of comfort on the ball and made clever runs
Simon Okwi (4) – The youngster also came on later in the second half and did not show a lot of eagerness to get his name on the score sheet.
Lawrence Ndugga (3) – He spent almost three minutes on the pitch and made no big impact.
