FDC’s presidential candidate Rtd Col Dr. Kizza Besigye has been arrested by Police in Kampala.
Besigye was arrested when he joined his supporters and they stormed a house in Naguru, a Kampala upscale suburb arguing that there is alleged vote rigging taking place.
There was a standoff as Besigye and supporters demanded police open the house and in the scuffle, Besigye was arrested.
USA ambassador to Uganda Deborah Malac says the arrest of Kizza Besigye is a “disturbing development” in the course of election.
