“We should have even won this game, but my strikers wasted several scoring chances,” said Express Coach Frank Anyau after the game at their Wankulukuku Stadium home ground. Allan Kyambadde gave the Red Eagles Express FC a 34th minute lead before Tom Masiko levelled matters later in the second half.

“We did not play so well today, but I am happy we managed to get a point because Express is always a tricky side,” said KCCA FC Coach George Nsimbe.

The defending champions failed to go top after the draw to try and overtake current leaders SC Victoria University who have 22 points.

Meanwhile, Vipers SC who sacked their Nigerian Coach Ambrose Chukuma last month moved to third place after a 3-0 victory over army side Simba.

Cranes player Joseph Mpande netted a brace while Yunus Ssentamu was also on the score sheet.

Soana FC stayed fourth after a 0-0 draw against Coach Livingstone Mbabazi’s Bright Stars FC.

Bidco FC, handled by Uganda Cranes assistant Coach Kefa Kisal,  also picked a 2-0 away win to bottom placed CRO FC.

Tito Okello and Herbert Odiopio scored the goals to keep their team in seventh place.
