The Ganda Boys made a quiet entry into the country last week on the invitation of the Nabagereka to present an inspirational talk to the children attending the Ekisaakaate. Denis Mugagga, Craig Pruess and Daniel Sewagudde of the Ganda Boys, arrived in the country on 8th January.

Isaiah Katumwa of Parapanda Records hosted them at the Serena Hotel in Kampala, where they stayed for the duration of their visit.

The artistes have a collabo called “Mawe – Mountains of the Moon” which features Isaiah Katumwa on his soprano saxophone.

In December 2012, the Ganda Boys met up with the Nabagereka of Buganda who invited them to come to Uganda and participate in the Ekisaakaate in January 2013 and share their musical and life skills with 620 enthusiastic children.

Joanita Kawalya, a legendary singer and musician herself, was one of the main facilitators at the event and introduced the Ganda Boys. The artistes passionately encouraged the children to keep their roots intact, to keep in touch with their culture and speak their mother tongue.

The Ganda Boys music director, Craig Pruess, also shared with the children about teamwork and the reasons why he enjoys working with the Ganda Boys at the high end of the music business.

He shared with the children about his involvement with the making of movies like “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, “Bend it Like Beckham” and producing legends like Sir Cliff Richard and arranging for Sir Elton John.
