Pope Benedict XVI on Sunday told tens of thousands of pilgrims in St Peter’s Square in a voice breaking with emotion that he was resigning because God had called on him to devote himself to prayer
Pope Benedict XVI has given his pontificate’s final Sunday blessing from his studio window to the cheers of tens of thousands of people in St. Peter’s Square.
Benedict says even though he’s retiring on Thursday from the papacy, the first pope in 600 years to do so, he’s “not abandoning the church.”
In a voice breaking with emotion that he was resigning because God had called on him to devote himself to prayer but said he would not forsake a Church role.
Instead he says he’ll serve the church with the same dedication he has till now, but will do so in a way “more suitable to my age and my strength.”
Benedict, 85, will spend his last years in prayer, meditation and seclusion in a monastery on Vatican City’s grounds.
He has one more public appearance, at his weekly audience on Wednesday in the square.
The pope, addressing tens of thousands of people in St. Peter’s Square, also said he would continue to serve by praying and meditating after his historic abdication on Thursday.
He said God had called him “to climb the mountain”.
Heavy rain had been forecast for Rome, and some drizzle dampened the square earlier in the morning. But when Benedict appeared, to the peal of church bells as the clock struck noon, blue sky crept through the clouds.
“We thank God for the sun he has given us,” the pope said, sounding cheerful.
As cheers continued in the crowd, the pontiff simply turned away from the window and stepped back down into apartment, which he will leave on Thursday, taking a helicopter to the Vatican summer residence in the hills outside Rome while he waits for the monastery to be ready.
A child in the crowd held up a sign on a yellow placard, written in Italian, “You are not alone, I’m with you.” Other admirers held homemade signs, saying “Grazie.”
No date has yet been set for the start of the conclave of cardinals, who will vote in secret to elect Benedict’s successor.
One Italian in the crowd seemed to be doing a little campaigning, hoisting a sign which mentioned the name of two Italian cardinals considered by observers to be potential contenders in the selection of the next pontiff.
Flags in the crowd represented many nations, with a large number from Brazil.
The cardinals in the conclave will have to decide whether it’s time to look outside of Europe for a pope.

“And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven
vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto
thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters”

In prophesy water represents great multitudes of people, tribes or heavily populated areas (Revelation 17:15).
The Vatican (The Great Whore) is the religious system involved in deceiving the
world; “many waters” refers to the nations of the world, the worldwide system
of false religion controlled by one city, yet covering the entire earth. None
other than the Vatican is involved in the ecumenical movement and religious
tolerance and unity. Today the call is for “humanity” or peace not Christ
“Unity” and not separation from the world religions. This is the call of the Catholic Church of today.

of bread. Isaiah 46:5 says “To whom will you compare me? Who is my
equal?” Bread should not be WORSHIPPED OR EQUALED to God!!!
Jesus
warns of false gospel as a result of serious twisting (2 Peter 3:16).
The bread and wine are for REMEMBRANCE and not to RE-REPRESENT Christ as
catholic teach.
The Second Commandment (Exodus 20:4) prohibits
making of images & Statues, carvings in (Deut. 5:8, 9; Deut. 4:16;
Deut.27:15; Ezek.16:36; Lev. 26:1) of anything on earth or heaven as
Catholics do for Mary, Jesus etc.
Calling the dead (such as Mary and Saints as Catholics do) is
prohibited in (Leviticus 20:27; Deuteronomy 18:10-13; 1 Samuel
28:7-19).
Acts 10:26 says “… do not worship men”. Prayers are to be only in God’s
name (John 14:13). Mary or saints can’t here you because they are not
omniscient.
No mediator except Jesus [1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 8:6; Hebrews
9:15; Hebrews 12:24; Galatians 3:20] Catholics undermine Jesus role and want
other worthless mediators.
No repetitive prayer (Mathew 6:7).Catholics Hail Mary like

3) The city is built on seven hills (Rev 17:9)
“And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on
which the woman sitteth” (Rev 17:9)
Only one city has for more than 2000
years been known as the city on seven hills. That city is Rome.
The Catholic Encyclopedia states:
“It is within the city of Rome, called the city of seven hills, that the
entire area of Vatican State proper is now confined.”
Rome: the city
of seven hills. “The historical site of Rome on the famous seven hills…was
occupied as early as the Bronze Age. [“Encyclopedia Britannica, 1990, Vol.10. pp.162]
There are, of course,
other cities, such as Rio de Janeiro that were also built on seven hills. John
provides at least more characteristics to limit the identification to Rome
alone.
4)The woman (church) is great city (Rev. 17:18)
“And the woman you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of
the earth. (Rev. 17:18).
The great city is the Vatican City the headquarters of Roman Catholic Church.
The
Roman Catholic Church and the Roman Vatican city-state are synonymous.
The Lateran treaty (Mussolini-Pope Pius XI, 1929) gave Vatican City
“independent status “and recognized the pope’s sovereignty within the
city. The agreement included a political treaty which created the state
of Vatican and guaranteed to the Holy see full and independent
sovereignty.” [Encarta Reference Library, 2004]
5) “And upon her
forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF
HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH (Rev 17:5)
Mystery” simply
means it is “hidden” (subtle); “her deception is veiled to the world”
but yet for a while. By this city being built on seven hills, this
specification eliminates ancient Babylon (the current Iraq). Statements
by Peter whom they claim to be the first pope; which the Bible does not
say in his 1 Peter 5:13 “Your sister church here in Babylon sends you
greetings , and so does my son mark “ actually shows that he was writing
in Rome.
Even Catholic apologist Karl Keating admits that Rome
has long been known as Babylon. Keating claims that Peter’s statement
“The church here in Babylon … sends you her greeting” (from I Peter
5:13) proves that Peter was writing from
Rome. He explains further:
“Babylon is a code word for Rome. It is used that way six times in the
last book of the Bible [four of the six are in chapters 17 and 18 and in
extrabiblical works such as Sibylling Oracles (5, 159f.), the
Apocalypse of Baruch (ii, 1), and 4 Esdras (3:1).Eusebius Pamphilius,
writing about 303, noted that “it is said that Peter’s first epistle…
was composed at Rome itself; and that he himself indicates this,
referring to the city figuratively as Babylon.”
The Catholic
Church forged its 15 extra Apocalypse books to support their unbiblical
teachings such as purgatory among others never mention in the Bible.
Why the mystery Babylon?
History
reveals that all religions except the true religion of the God of the
Bible originated in ancient Babylon. Most are unaware that worshiping
on Sunday did not begin with the advent of Christianity; it was in fact a
religious day of worship 2000 years before Jesus Christ. It was shortly
after the flood of Noah that Nimrod and his mother-wife, Semiramis,
founded the great pagan religions. From its beginning at the tower of
Babel [(the first new world order Genesis: 11), sun worship spread
throughout the entire ancient world. [Note: the name Nimrod in Hebrew
means rebel].
Here is an example of how God feels about Baal
worship and the Babylonian Mystery Religion (2 Kings 23:4-5). This
historical background is vital to understanding that sun worship was the
dominant religion in all ancient civilizations, and that it spread from
“Mother Babylon” into all countries: India, China, Africa, Greece,
Rome, Mexico, South America, Egypt and Europe. [Though In Egypt, one of
the commonest symbols of the sun, or sun-god, is a disc with a serpent
around It. [ibid. p. 227].
Sun worship was a very prominent religion and Sunday was the
main day of worship in the Roman Empire
by the time of Jesus Christ, just as it was in ancient Babylon.

Pagan Rome, this fire-worship and serpent-worship were sometimes
separate, sometimes conjoined; but both occupied a pre-eminent place in
Roman esteem.” (ibid. p. 236)
“Now, if this worship of the sacred
serpent of the Sun, the great fire-god, was so universal in Rome, what
symbol could more graphically portray the idolatrous power of Pagan
Imperial Rome than the “Great Fiery Serpent”? No doubt it was to set
forth this very thing that the Imperial standard itself–the standard of
the Pagan Emperor of Rome, as Pontifex Maximus, Head of the great
system of fire-worship and serpent-worship–was a serpent elevated on a
lofty pole, and so colored, as to exhibit it as a recognised symbol of
fire-worship.” (ibid. p. 238)
The Babylonian sun worship system
made the king or emperor the direct representative of the sun god and as
such, he was the god-king or king-god. He was the only one in whom the
highest level of the spirit of the sun-deity resided. This spirit was
NOT the holy spirit of God, but the spirit of Satan the Devil. This is
why the pagan emperors were worshiped as gods.
After the kingdom
of Babylon fell, the entire system of Babylonian and Egyptian mythology
was transferred to Pergamos in Asia Minor. The teaching of the
Babylonian religious practices by the Babylonian priests and their
direct descendants continued in the city of Pergamum for centuries. They
taught astrology (which likely included the science of astronomy) and
the making of the amulets with the numbers 1 to 36 on them that totalled
666 in the special arrangements they commonly used and of course
represented their supreme god the sun.
John tells us in Revelation 2:12-13, Pergamos is called “Satan’s seat,” and
was the headquarters of the original Babylonian sun worship until this system
was carried into the City of Rome about 129 B.C. where they took over
leadership,
and is where the Roman Catholic Church now has its headquarters. This
system was already beginning to work during the days of the apostles,
but its fullness had not been revealed. Paul calls this entire hidden
system of Worship “the mystery of iniquities” in Thessalonians 2:7 and
in Revelation 17:5, John refers to it as “Mystery, Babylon the Great.”

6) Kingdom ruled by seven kings, the eighth will come from bottomless pit
The
kingdom will be ruled by seven kings and the eighth shall ascend from
the bottomless pit and the earth shall marvel because it was one of the
seven (17:8- 11).
Note: Bottomless pit is abyss (or prison) is where fallen angels are kept (Luke 8:27, 30, 31, &33)

Lateran treaty: The agreement signed in 1929 by Italy and the Holy See
which recognized the Vatican City as a sovereign and independent Papal
state (political, religious and economic powers). It could now carry
out
its duties without interference of the Italian government (had
its own ambassadors, could issue its own passports and travel freely
etc). On Feb. 11 1929, Pope Pius XI became the first king of Vatican
state. Since then,
there have been seven (kings). Pius XI (1922 -1939), Pius XII (1939-1958), John
XXIII (1958-1963), Paul VI (1963-1978), John Paul I (1978) –ruled for 33 days –
alleged poisoning; Power struggle), John Paul II (1978- 2005), Benedict XVI
(2005-present).
Rev
17:9-10 Jesus tells us to use wisdom here …“This calls for mind of
understanding: the seven heads of the beast represent the seven
hills where the woman rules.
They
also represent seven kings. Five have already fallen, the sixth now
reigns, and the seventh is yet to come, but his reign will be brief,
too, is headed for destruction”
Rev 17:8 talks of the
re-appearance of the beast (king) who had died but comes from the
bottomless pit and yet it will still go to eternal destruction. It
continues
to tell us that … And the people on earth whose names were not written
in the book of life before this world was made will be amazed at the
re-appearance of this beast who had died.
Of course the seven hilled city is Rome and the church is the Roman Catholic Church. The kings (or beast kings) are the popes.

In revelation 17:11 “Tells
us that this scarlet beast, that was and is no longer, is the eighth king”.
Here
Apostle John tells us that the beast (one of the seven Popes) that had
died is actually not the real but a demon from the bottomless pit [ie
demons prison] impersonating him: But it too (demon) will go for
destruction in hell at the end of the judgment.

Since the angel was talking of five kings are fallen, Apostle John was
taken by the angel a head of time to the reign of the sixth king Pope
John Paul II (“and
one is”) as a divine hint that he was significant pope.

sixth king (John Paul II) will appear again after the seventh king
(Benedict XVI): only it won’t be John Paul II, it will be a fallen angel

there shall a rise false Christ’s, and false prophets, and show great
signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall
deceive

24:24, 25). Mathew 24: 25), Jesus warns us a head of time that even some
of God true believers may be deceived by this greatest deception at the
last moment.

This fallen angel (demon) impersonating a resurrected pope will either claim that tribulation or world
problems are happening because people are not obeying this message from
heaven or whatever reason he will allege, and as a result all
dissidents will be punished for not obeying ‘heaven-sent message.’

with remnants of her seed…” …Which keep the commandments of God, and
have the testimony of Jesus Christ (Revelation 12:17). There is hope

1.The doctrine of substantiation that you ridicule has a biblical base for any church that is based on Judeo-christian traditions!This has it’s root right from Scriptural account in the account of Exodus-a very important events in the life of Judaism and Christianity if we believe that Jesus is the fulfillment of the OT prophecies.Particular mention of Exodus account is Ex.11:1-12:1-28.Take note of Ex.12:8 “That same night they shall eat its roasted flesh with UNLEAVENED BREAD” and bitter herbs”.Again verses 14 says, “This day shall be a memorial feast for you,which all your generations shall celebrate with pilgrimage to the Lord,as a perpetual institution.”Verse 17, “Keep then this custom of the unleavened bread since it was on this very day that I brought your ranks out of Egypt,you must celebrate this day throughout your generations as a perpetual institution.”Remember that the Synoptic Gospels(Mark,Mathew and Luke) in their passion narrative portray the institution of the Eucharist on the day Jesus and his disciples were celebrating the very Exodus experience Cfr.Mathew 26:17 “On the first day of the feast of Unleavened bread,the disciples approached Jesus and said, “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the passover?”Read same texts in Mark 14:12;Luke 22:7.
All the Synoptic Gospel account for the fact that on that very night Jesus following the Exodus directive ,”…took bread ,said the blessings,broke it and giving it to his disciples said, “Take and eat,this is my body” Then he took a cup,gave thanks,and gave it to them,saying, “Drink from it,all of you,for this is my blood of the covenant which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of Sins”.Mathew 26:26-28;Mark 14:22-24;Luke22:15-20:
(NB:It’s amazing that the very Scriptural words are used in the Roman Missal at the celebration of the mass when the Priests prays over the Bread and Wine).
John’s Gospel as a unique tradition and literature mentions the pass over in chapter 11:55;12:1;13:1 in the account of the washing of the feet;while there is no direct mention of the passover meal except for verse 26-27 where Jesus speaks about Judas Iscariot’s betrayal!
However John’s Literature dedicates the whole of Chapter 6:22-58 known as “the bread of life discourse” more especially verse 35, 41″I am the bread of Life..”and in verse 51 he categorically says,I am the living bread that came down from heaven;whoever eats this bread will live forever;and the bread that I will give is my FLESH for the life of the world”.
Verse 53-56, after those hearing complained Jesus says, “Amen,Amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood,you do not have life within you.Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life and I will raise him on the last day.For my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink.Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.”
The first known account of celebrating the Lord’s memorial supper by the early church is given to us by Saint Paul in the Christian community of Corinth as per 1 Corinthians 11:23
“For I recieved from the Lord what I also handed on to you,that the Lord Jesus,on the night he was handed over,took bread and after given thanks,broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you.Do this in rememberance of me.In the same way also the cup,after supper saying, “this cup is the new covenant in my blood.Do this,as often as you drink it,in rememberance of me.”For as often as you eat and drink the cup,you proclaim the death of the Lord untill he comes”.
None of these texts refers to this action as “Symbolism” other than “This is” in clear terms;nor does it deny in essence “the bread and wine” as the body and blood of Jesus.
The Synoptic Gospels,the Gospel of John and the letters of Saint Paul to the Corinthians were written in the 1 Century-long before reformation of Martin Luther(Catholic Priest) in 16 Century.Infact,its believed that John’s Gospel was written between 90-100AD.I wonder where Moses quotes his authority of denying the true presence of Christ in the Eucharist during and after consecration??
2.Reading the Scriptures,it’s ipso facto that Jesus built his church on the Apostolic foundation as he chose the twelve;acknowledge by Paul Eph 2:20 , “built upon the foundation of the Apostles and prophets,with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone.A thorough reading of the Gospels and letter of Saint Paul clearly places the disciples originally known as Simon Bar Jonah(Simon son of Jonah) but later on named Cephas(Peter) in a prominent position among the other Disciples.Paul a later convert acknowledges this fact in the account of the first council of Jerusalem (Galatians 2:1-14) where he says particularly in verse 9, “and when they recognized the grace bestowed upon me,James and Kephas and John,who were reputed to be pillars,gave me and Barnabas their hands and partnership that we should go to the gentiles and they be circumcised.”
It would seemed that Paul in this texts is recognizing the supremacy and authority of James,Kephas(Peter) and John!This is in keeping with the account in Mathew 16:13-19 where Peter confesses the Identity of Jesus Christ as the Messiah and he promises him authority over his church in verse 17 calling him by his family name, “Blessed are you Simon son of Jonah” and in verses 18, “And so I say to you,you are Peter,and upon this rock I will build my church,and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of heaven,and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven;and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”Same account in Mark 8:1 and Luke 9:18.
It is also interesting that Jesus always seems to pick Peter,James and John in major events of his life.For instance,at the transfiguration Mt.17:1-2;Mk:9:2;Lk9:28;and also at the garden of Gethsemane at the apex of his hour Mt.26:37;Mk14:33; and very interesting in Luke 22:32 when Jesus reveals peter’s denial,he says, “but I have prayed that your own faith may not fail;and once you have turned back,you must strengthened your brothers”.
I should also mention that,Peter in the call of disciples is listed first not by coincident as the evangelists presents the call of the twelve in Mt.10:2;Mk:3:16;Lk6:14.Peter’s prominent position is clearly revealed in John’s Gospel(Jn.21:15-19) in the account of Jesus appearance after his resurrection,an equivalent of Mathew 16:17-18. Having asked Peter three times “Simon ,son of Jonah,do you love me?”,corresponding to the three denials,Jesus tells Peter in verse 15, :feed my sheep”, and in verse 16 , “tend my sheep” and in verse 17, “feed my sheep”.
It’s therefore,no wonder that Peter is presented in Acts which gives us the account of the activities of the Apostles after resurrection as the leader of the group.Read Acts 1:13;15-26.In chapter 2:14-41,Peter speaks on behalf of the other eleven clearly as a leader as well as in chapter 3:1-22;5:3 etc.
A lot of evidence in the Bible that attests to the authority of Peter believed to be the first successor of Christ.from Peter to Benedict XVI,there have been 266 successors of the Lord and next month,we expect 267.We cannot twists history to soothe our thinking because history is the best teacher and some one like Moses should trust in the very Bible he quotes that handed over the Judeo-christian traditions before the reformation in 16th Century given the fact that reformers never had their Bible fallen to them from heaven but from the very institution Martin Luther -the Catholic priest broke away from!
3.In Luke’s Gospel Chapter 1:46-56,the Evangelists presents us with the Canticle of Mary and Mary in verse 48 says, “For he has looked upon his handmaid’s lowliness;behold,from now on will ALL AGES call me blessed”.
I wonder from which generation Moses is who cannot acknowledge Mary’s special role even acknowledged by Koran??Moreover in Luke 1:28,we are told the Angel Gabriel tells Mary, “Hail,favored one!The Lord is with you” What does the word favored mean?Does it not portray Mary as given the privileged positions among all creatures?Why would God not favor Mary if she is to be the mother of Jesus?Why would she just be as any other woman?Why would God not choose some one else other than Mary?
Again in verse 30. “Do not be afraid Mary,for you have found favor with God” and in verse 35 the Angel says, “The holy spirit will come upon you,and the power of the most high will overshadow you”.The fact that the ANGEL mentions the word “Favor” twice imply something of importance that Moses need to take into consideration.After all,if Jesus is true God and true man,then there is no question that he shares his mother’s biological components and that also confirms and make perfect sense the believe in Immaculate conception of Mary for the sake of Jesus.
Moses should know that Catholics do NOT adore Mary or Saints but we venerate the Blessed mother and Saints.John’s Gospel tells us of Mary’s role at the feast of Cana Jn.2:3,5 where Jesus performs the first miracle at the prompting of his mother.In John 19:25-27 on the cross Jesus entrusted his mother to John,the beloved disciples and John to his mother!!John’s texts are so important in the Catholic tradition of devotions to the Blessed Mother and Moses should out of respect and tolerance of each other’s faith avoid passing judgements based on sheer ignorance,prejudice and bias if he claims to be an intelligentsia he is from his subjective presentation!
I did not quote any fathers of the(patristic fathers)that most reformers agree with,neither our current Popes writings intentionally.I wanted to use the very scriptures that Moses selectively quotes to show how selectively ignorant,bias and subjective he is in his quotation of scriptures and opinion about the church.All Catholic Church’s beleives and traditions are based on Jude-Christian traditions and thoroughly founded on the scriptures.People like cardinal Neuman converted to Catholicism after intense reading of Scriptures and history because you cannot ignore facts and truth inherent in history since you cannot rewrite history rather interpret it to soothe your taste!!
