JINJA!! Police Occupies Venue Targeted By Mbabazi

Uganda Police Force has occupied Kakindu playground, a venue which has been targeted by former presidential aspirant Amama Mbabazi.

A letter issued by Jinja town clerk Kyasanku David yesterday indicates that Uganda Police Force had booked the same ground to “carry out their activities.”

“This is to inform you that the same venue Kakindu play ground had earlier been booked by Uganda police to carry out their activities from 9th September to 8th October. See letter Ref 201/VOLII/11 dated 17th August, 2015,” the letter reads.

The letter also indicates that Kazimingi Industrial park another venue targeted by former Prime is not available.

“I have received a letter from the chairperson of the park requesting me not to allow any political activity their citing interruption of their business activities and feared loss of money.”

According to reports from Jinja, Police has already occupied Kakindu play ground.

However, sources close to Mbabazi said that he is still ready to hold consultative meeting in Jinja.

“Contrary to what you might be hearing online & on local media, the Rt. Hon. Amama Mbabazi will still hold a consultative meeting in Jinja. We will keep you up to date with regards to the new venue & other developments that will arise during the day,” latest information from Team Go Forward reads.
