Judiciary Disowns Two Lawyers
By Serestino Tusingwire
The Judiciary has disowned two advocates Kizito Lumu Richard and Yunus Ntanzi Kasirivu for reasons yet to be identified.
In letters dated September 5, signed by the Chief Registrar Judiciary, Wadenya Paul Wolimbwa, the disciplinary committee of the law council on 15th July, 2016 decided that Yunus Ntanzi Kasirivu be struck off the advocates roll with immediate effect.
The same council on July 17, decided to suspend with immediate effect Kizito Lumu Richard from the legal practice for the period of one year.
Though the letters did not identify the reasons behind their expulsion and suspension respectively, it is believe that the two bleached the professional code of conduct for the lawyers.
This literally means that the two are apparently not allowed to represent any client in courts of law or do anything related to their profession.
