Eng. Charles Kazibwe Dead

Charles Kazibwe, the ex-husband of Africa’s first ever Vice President, Speciosa Wandira-Kazibwe, is dead. Mr. Kazibwe died this morning minutes past 1:00 a.m at Nsambya Hospital.

At the time of his death, he was on life support following throughout paralysis in the left side of his body.

Kazibwe and his ex-wife separated in April 2002 after the then Ugandan vice president filed for divorce from her husband citing continuing domestic violence. She later stepped down as she found it difficult to perform her political duties and deal with the headline-making divorce case.
