Link Bus overturns in Kabarole, many feared Dead
A Link Bus registration number UBA 003S has overturned along Fort Portal – Kyenjojo road, injuring and killing a number of passengers.
The PRO Traffic Police Directorate Faridah Nampiima says the accident happened around 10:30 am on Wednesday morning.
The bus was travelling to Kampala from Fort Portal, the accident happened 2KMs from Fort Portal city at a place called Sebitoli,” Nampiima said in a statement.
She told journalists at the scene that a number of people could have died although she could not ascertain the number. Many were injured.
So far, the injured have been rushed to Buhinga hospital for first aid while the dead are at the same hospital for postmortem,” Nampiima said.
Nampiima said a detailed report will be shared after establishing facts around the cause of the accident.
