Moses Kipsiro Ready For ‘do or die’ Ostrava Meet

Uganda's Moses Kipsiro
After having an unscrupulous half year evolving around poor performance and running battles with the Uganda Athletics Federation, Commonwealth double gold medalist Moses Kipsiro s prepared to do almost anything to register a podium finish in today’s Golden Spike Ostrava meet in Czech Republic.

Kipsiro will be up against USA’s Bernard Lagat and other numerous world beaters including Kenyan Augustine Choge, the 2006 Commonwealth Games champion.
While he insists he will make a remarkable comeback, Kipsiro said: “I’m going to do anything in my power to win,” he tells Red Pepper in an online chat.
“I’m talking anything. I’m serious because this year has not been good so far.”
Kipsiro, Uganda’s hero at Commonwealth games in New Delhi in 2010 said he was feeling “hungry and confident”
He added: “I’m prepared to do anything to win today’s race. It’s do or die.”
Last week, the national athletics federation technical committee gave Kipsiro a chance to defend his double title at the Commonwealth Games despite not taking part in any competition after the Africa Cross Country championships.
Raising star Winnie Nanyondo is also taking part.
