Mubende CDO, two Sacco leaders arrested over Misappropriation of PDM Funds

Following President Yoweri Museveni’s recent Greater Mubende Wealth Creation Tour in Kyankwanzi, where he directed Brig Gen Henry Isoke, the Head of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit to investigate the mismanagement of the Parish Development Model (PDM) funds in Kyankwanzi District,the anti graft unit together with other agencies  have  arraigned three suspects before the Kyankwanzi Chief Magistrates Court on various charges related to the mismanagement of the funds in the District.

The accused are;  Mutyaba Henry, a Community Development Officer, Kyankwanzi Sub-County, Ntemu John- Chairperson, Kasoolo Nkawandwa parish PDM SACCO in Kyankwanzi District and Kizito Moses, Secretary of the same SACCO
Mutyaba, along with others who are still at large, are accused of using threats and force to demand money from PDM beneficiaries in Kyankwanzi Parish.
They allegedly did this with the intent to steal, promising to place them into the PDM system. He has been remanded until May 21, 2025.
Ntemu and Kizito were charged with obtaining money by false pretenses after they solicited millions of shillings from hundreds of PDM beneficiaries of the SACCO to help them access the fund. They have been remanded until May 6, 2025
These join Ssali Damiano, the Chairperson of the Lubiri Parish SACCO, and Sekamate Brian, a Community Development Officer, who were previously charged with theft of PDM funds.
