Chances of Miss Uganda beauty pageant crown holder Stellah Nantumbwe returning home empty handed from Miss World in Indonesia are increasing each passing day.
Nantumbwe travelled to Indonesia for the 63rd prestigious annual Miss World beauty pageant last week and looks like she’s already not doing well. We have learnt that the contest began on Sunday 8th September with a grand opening ceremony at the Westin Inn Hotel, Bali.
However, Nantumbwe missed out on the much awaited Beach Beauty category slot after failing to make to the top ten finalists.
According to sources, the contestants took part in a round involving a presentation of 125 ways to tie a kilt which Nantumbwe failed.
We have further learnt that among the 130 contestants, 33 made it to the semi-final round, and after the second round, organizers picked the top ten participants for the final round.
A special photo shoot was held on Tuesday 10th September to pick the winner whose identity will be revealed on 28th at the grand finale. From Africa, only Ghana representative Carranzar Shooter made it to the finals along other nine gals from France, Brazil, China PR, Italy, Jamaica, Philippines, Ukraine, Moldova, Indonesia and Spain.
Nantumbwe together with other contestants have to compete for six award categories including Beach Fashion, Top model, Sports and Fitness, beauty with a purpose, Talent Competition and the World fashion designer award.
