What started as a simple after training limp-off yesterday has raised fears that KCCA striker Tony Odur might join Stephen Bengo on the sidelines and might be unavailable for the team’s ahead of their Caf Champions League first round preliminary fixture against Sudan’s El-Merreikh.

The team travelled to Omdurman on Wednesday through Addis Ababa aboard Ethiopian Airlines with Bengo despite leaving the pitch 20 minutes before the end of Tuesday evening training session at Namboole clutching to his right thigh and Sports Mania reported on Thursday that Odur limping training in Sudan had raised doubts about his availability for Saturday’s game.

Head coach George Best Nsimbe however was quick to downplay the injury scares saying that he expects the duo to still make his first team tomorrow. “Let us wait for the doctor’s assessment but it does not appear too serious,”

Nsimbe said after the session in Sudan.

Bengo, despite his inconsistency, is seen as the team’s most creative player alongside winger Brian Majwega while Odur is the team’s topscorer this season so their absence would be a huge loss to Nsimbe’s side if they are to get a positive result in Sudan.
