PICTURES: Mbalangu In Praise of Saints Despite Baza Loss

The Saints collecting four points form a possible six in West Nile had not been an easy job as Coach Hussien Mbalangu says. Having defeated Vurra 0-2 and drew with Mvara before falling to Baza Holdings 0-1, Mbalangu heaped praise on his players who have been remarkable throughout the first three games of the FUFA Big League season.

The former SC Villa coach is optimistic the team will bounce back and better after losing their first home game despite attracting a large crowd to Namboole National Stadium.
“My boys were good almost earning a draw. I say we lost with pride because Baza is a seasoned team with good experienced players. “he said
“It was a tough match given the history of the opponents. I cannot single out a player who never gave his all.” he said.
Mbalangu says he wishes to embark on the remaining league matches to end his season well, “Our journey is not halted at all. We still have lots of home league to give our full attention.” he added.
Charles Semanda who previously played for Express FC and Simba slotted home for Baza Holdings after a mistake from the Saints defenders.
The Saints had an opportunity to equalize with 15 minutes to play when they were awarded a penalty for a foul on Farook Kawooya who had beaten the keeper but Morris Karomeniz smashed his effort against the crossbar.
The defeat leaves the Saints on four points from three games. They’ll look to redeem themselves when they travel to Ndejje University on Thursday.
