Police Arrests Four Adam Kalungi Associates
Adam Kalungi is still on the run
The Uganda Police has arrested four people said to be close associates of Adam Suleiman Kalungi, the boyfriend of fallen Butaleja woman member of Parliament Cerinah Nebanda.
In a statement issued by Police spokeswoman Judith Nabakooba, those arrested are partners of Adam Kalungi in his drug business. Adam Kalungi is wanted in connection to the death of the former MP.
Cerinah Nebanda passed away on December 14th at Mukwaya General Clinic in Nsambya, Kampala under unclear circumstances.
It is from the residence of Adam Kalungi in Buziga, a Kampala suburb that the late MP was taken to Mukwaya clinic where she was pronounced dead.
Those arrested by the police include Ugandans and foreigners and according to Nabakooba, they were seized from their residences in the areas around Munyonyo, Kitarangwa, Kiwafu and Kabalagala with narcotic drugs.
They include ABDI Rashid Bott aliasIgbal Rashid a Ugandan Pakistan origin, Rehema ,the wife of Abdi Rashid, Ali Omara Ali Muzahim, Ugandan, he was found with methacetamine crystals 1kg, methacethamine powder 1 kg, heroine six pellets, off white about 1kg-all narcotic drugs, Ibrahim Mohammed an Eritrean and Richard Syauswa.
The late Nebanda whose death has been shrouded in mystery was laid to rest on Sunday in Butaleja amid chaotic scenes that saw the government representative blocked from delivering President Museveni’s condolence message.
On Monday, Police arrested Kampala Central Member of Parliament Muhammed Nsereko over reckless statements he made at the funeral of his former colleague while five other legislators including Betty Nambooze are expected at the Special Investigations Unit in Kireka to answer questions over the failed smuggling of Nebanda’s body parts to South Africa.
Last week, Police arrested Dr Sylvestre Onzivua at Entebbe International Airport as he attempted to take the late MP’s body samples to South Africa for further examination saying he did act within the law.

It is true Sam. Those trying to silence, us committed the murder. This has been going on like this for a long time. If you belong and step out of line you dealt with. It is that simple.
This picture when you look at it keenly, this guy is of Abbyshi origin. Eritreans or Ethiopians look like this guy. It better also if he is the one lets check in Asmara or Adisa Ababa.
govt certainly can not have any interest in the death of the MP save for the usual obligation of the state i.e protection of citizens and their property. the problem is the unprofessional police force. it is time uganda handed back police to the professionals. even those over promoted officers like Nabakooba, Kaweesi, Turyagumanawe et al should be demoted or retrained. that way we shall avoid such debacles like this one.
I am appalled by how the police and the government are quick to arrest those that are helping or helped Cerinah. It’s now a crime to save or keep a human being alive.

don’t know why drug dealers are tolerated in Uganda, now we can all see their influence and threat they pose to our, let alone the damage – losing a beautiful and promising politician sadly by Letting the ill-gotten wealth ejoyed surely we are sendind a wrong message to our young ones who think it is alright to do or try that.
These people who you might see in our streets and all social areas in designer clothes and posh cars are mostly drug- dealers spending the dirty wealth on our streets undeterred and we see them as norm , what kind of signal would that send to our vulnerable children.
When will the MUNYONYO’s be arrested ?????????????///

I am still wondering how this whole case has been handled so far. To start with, it is not easy these days to know who has what powers in Uganda. The Mps seem to be assigining themselves responsibilities that are supposed. to belong to the police. This not only wrong, but unprofessional and illegal.
The Mps should not exploit every incident for political ends. We should have confidence in our police force and wait for a report they come up with before we draw conclusions that might be accusing innocent people.
Our parliamentalians should not lose objectivity and relevance by opposing every thing from the government just because they belong to the opposition or just not happy with. the government.the
lets face the truth, nebanda’s mum knows wat exactly killed her daughter- drugs. why would a killer try to save yo life not in one but two health centres n when u are declared dead, he flees? bse he knows that wat killed u is illegal n can be traced on him. the mum is just living in denial. Many mps are dealing in drugs,remember the news on tv where a boy was arrested bringing drugs into uganda thru busia/ malaba border n he saidd one mp was his boss. this mp is the same one that called police n ordered 4 his release. these mps kno wat killed nebanda, thats y they wanted to take part in the autopsy… lets all learn 4m nebanda.
What the Government of Museveni is doing these days in line with the death of MP Celina Nebanda is a mere joke because the country is fond of such treatments and response as given by the so called Government Efforts to justify the truth over certain issues that are emanating from the acts of Government.
These drug dealers can even finance the campaign of a politician to be elected into parliament to help protect them, the drug dealers. In any case people go to parliament to make money.

Uganda has a drug problem. You can accuse as many people of murder as you wish but if the people of Uganda don’t unite to fight the scourge of illicit drugs being brought in by the MAFIA, we are all in trouble. So many of you know young people who are either addicted or are using drugs. So many have died and yet, your ignorance focuses on poison, drugs are poison. MPs are wrong and the speaker was wrong. The love of money is the root of all evil and the way Ugandans love money including those members unpatriotic members of parliament being paid to destabilize the nation don’t even know where the money is coming from. WAKE UP, people!!! Much as I hate Mzee, I love my country more and I am beginning to think that in his craziness he does too.
