Police Recover 150 Stolen Phones

PRESS RELEASE: Kampala Metropolitan Police (CPS) are holding 15 suspects for being in possession of suspected stolen property.

The suspects were arrested during a Kampala City operation yesterday November 2nd, 2017.
Acting on a tipoff, from a victim, the Police at central police station mounted an operation and phones worth millions of shillings were recovered.

The operation according to KMP Deputy Police spokesperson, Luke Owesigyire targeted phone thieves around the areas of downtown.
During the operation, over 150 phones were recovered. Owesigyire revealed that this operation will continue as festivities near.
