Following a fire outbreak that gutted Bukedea Life Line Primary School in Teso sub region, PostBank Uganda led by the Managing Director, Stephen Mukweli, has donated mattresses and scholastic materials to the schools.

The handover took place at the school located in Bukedea district in Teso.
The boys’ dormitory was gutted by fire on 1st June 2018 destroying property including mattresses and pupils’ scholastic materials.

The bank offered materials worth 9 Million shillings to the school.
The Managing Director urged schools to comply with the fire regulation policy and also train pupils and staff on basic firefighting skills to avoid loss of property and lives during fire outbreaks.
According to the school authorities, the cause of fire is not yet known and investigations are still ongoing.
