Red Pepper Rolls Out New Look

Red Pepper Managing Editor, Ben Byarabaha
Uganda’s leading tabloid, the mighty Red Pepper, has redesigned!

The maiden issue of the fresh and reloaded Red Pepper will be launched tomorrow, with Saturday Pepper, according to Ben Byarabaha, the paper’s Managing Editor.
“The new look Red Pepper is very exciting, and loaded with a unique range of the hottest gossip, entertainment, and thoroughly investigated news. We have taken time doing our research and we believe the new edition will take our readers by storm yet guaranteeing them top value for money,” Byarabaha said.
Red Pepper has since its inception been the blueprint of innovation on the local print media scene and this is exactly the theme of the reloaded Red Pepper— to break new ground that has never been explored by the media in the country.
“We are actually looking forward to setting a new trend of news reporting strengthened by our unique style of news presentation, stunning pictorials and ground-breaking investigations. And as the market struggles to balance the Red Pepper surge, we shall continue to apply our industry leading expertise as a pioneer to provide easy to read, local and national news that remain a dream of our envious competitors,” Byarabaha added.
Industry experts contend that Red Pepper has set the precedent as a newspaper of style that is easy to read, big on entertainment, with peculiarly selected stunning pictorials that cover the hottest babes, hunks and events that have graced this pearl of Africa.
While putting together the firsts issue of the reloaded paper (tomorrow’s Saturday Pepper) Ben Byarabaha said, “We have made a well calculated effort to ensure that we assemble a newspaper that is interesting, light, relevant, trendy and in touch with the daily lives of that reader who wants to be entertained and start the day with a light smile on his face. The good news though is that our price remains unchanged.”
Commenting on the redesign, red pepper chief of design, Grace Nuwasasira said, “The new Red Pepper design is for those who cherish style, beauty, fashion, great navigation and appropriate colour.”
Bruce Byaruhanga, the Red Pepper Circulation Manager predicted a stampede for the bigger, better and fresh newspaper. “Red Pepper’s style of writing can be compared to a miniskirt… short enough to attract interest and long enough to cover the subject matter. The new Red Pepper is visually appealing, polished and highly professional: it’s really a modern reader’s newspaper.”
