SC Victoria Univ Ready For Entebbe Task

Forward Simon Okwi believes last week’s international break game against Maroons put SCVU in the perfect shape ahead of the return to league action this Friday.

SCVU plays Entebbe FC at Wankulukuku Stadium hoping to maintain a 100% start to the league.
Okwi scored twice in the 4-3 defeat to Maroons, a result that was followed up with a 5-1 win over Luzira United in a friendly on Tuesday.
The club’s top scorer now is geared to replicate his performance against a rather physical side.
Okwi said, “Everybody knows Entebbe is a physical team.”
“We played Maroons and it was preparing us for Entebbe. I think we are very ready.”
The forward with two league goals already believes the team’s scoring tally can only improve as long as the chances that come are taken.
“We create many chances and I know we can only get better if we convert them.
“I am sure we have had enough time to work on that. Be sure that once the chances come as they did in the last league game, we are going to take them.”
In the other games lined-up for the day will see URA FC face army side Simba while Bidco host SC Villa at the Kakindu Stadium.
Masaka LC FC will host CRO FC, and Bright Stars handled by former professional Livingstone Mbabazi will battle Kiira Young.
