He is wanted to answer for the death of his wife Marble Tugumisirize. The deceased reportedly succumbed to torture wounds at Kamuronko Archdeaconry on November 29th   where she was being prayed for after she was battered by the suspect.

According to police, Magezi battered Tugumisirize in mid November for yet unknown reasons. The deceased fell ill on November 27th and was rushed to Muhunde clinic in Kabale town for treatment.

Her relatives later transferred her to Kamuronko Archdeaconry for prayers where she breathed her last. As a result, her relatives brought the matter to the attention of police.

The postmortem report conducted on the body of the deceased shows that she succumbed to the torture wounds. Ely Maate, the Kigezi regional police spokesperson says they picked up Magezi to help with the police investigations.

Maate explains that, the couple has earlier reported to the Kabale central Police station family protection Unit, where they counseled.

He appeals to couples in the district to resolve their differences amicably without resorting to violence.
Maate says it is unfortunate that even people who should be knowledgeable of the law resort to violence.
