The rebel members of parliament Ssekikubo together with Mohammed Nsereko Kampala Central MP Winfred Niwagaba Ndorwa East MP and Barnabas Tinkasimire Buyaga MP were kicked out of NRM for towing a different path.

Ssekikubo confessed his return during World Population Day Celebrations held in Sembabule district where president Museveni was the guest of honour.

Hilariously, Ssekikubo grabbed the microphone from district Woman MP Hanifer Kawooya who was making her remarks and hastily pronounced his return to NRM with unshakable support for president Museveni.

“Mr. President, I rarely come to this district but today I have also come to join people of Sembabule to rally behind you. I will support you in every endeavor,” he said.

His confession stirred up mixed reactions from the people as they cheered and jeered at the same time.

President Museveni later introduced him to the crowd as “my son who has returned to work with me.”

Museveni met the four rebel MPs recently to lure them into joining his camp as he struggles to outshine former Prime Minister John Patrick Amama Mbabazi who is set to challenge him for NRM flag bearer slot in the 2016 presidential polls.
