Sudhir, Jyotsna, Discuss Guinea worms’ eradication, River blindness, Trachoma With Ex-USA President Carter in Dubai

Former United States of America President, Jimmy Carter and his wife, in Partnership with the Ruparelia Group under the chairmanship of Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia and his wife Jyotsna Ruparelia, have inked a deal that will see both parties fight for the elimination of diseases like; Guinea worm, River blindness, Trachoma, Malaria, among others, from the people of Uganda, Red pepper has learnt

The two families allegedly met in Dubai about three weeks ago and discussed in depth, on how best some of these diseases can be controlled or eliminated from the country (Uganda), using simple- low cost methods, and how to generate funds that can be used in fostering the activities of the whole exercise.

As the saying goes…Birds of the same feather always fly together, Carter started a non-government Organization known as ‘The Carter Centre’ which has strived hard to improve peoples’ lives in more than 80 countries by resolving conflicts, advancing democracy, human rights, preventing diseases, and improving mental care the same way, Dr. Sudhir initiated the ‘Ruparelia Foundation’ which almost have similar objectives.

The Carter Centre have in place efforts that have brought to resource-limited countries better disease surveillance and health care delivery systems especially to communities that are often burdened by several diseases, and it is pioneering new public health approaches that will efficiently and effectively treat multiple diseases at once.

According to Sudhir, this is the same thing; the Ruparelia Group is going to borrow a leaf from, purposely to give Uganda’s future generation a push so as to live a happy life through emphasizing on actions and measurable results, based on careful research and analysis, prepared to take action on pressing issues.

As a result of his effort, President Carter and his wife through their umbrella organization (The Carter Centre) have caused impact on women, men and children around the globe whose lives have been at stake due to poor health.

Sustainability in all their work has been realized as a result of emphasis being placed on partnership for change among international agencies, governments, nongovernmental organizations, corporations, and other people at the grass roots.
