Terrorists Attack CIID Boss, Flees Home
Just days after the State prosecutor was assassinated by yet to be identified gunmen riding on a motorcycle along Kiwaatule-Najeera road, the Criminal Investigations Intelligence Director (CIID) AIGP Grace Akullo has abandoned her Kanyanya based house and relocated to unknown place following two life threatening attacks on her life.
A source close to the police iron lady reveals that unknown people with yet to be known intentions have attacked Akullo’s home in Kanyanya Wakiso District but have been scared away by the Police elite and highly trained commandos from the Counter Terrorism department headed by AIGP John Ndunguse.
The source told this reporter that the first time the attack was made, Akullo had just left the premises but received the report while the second time she was on her way home and received information that her house was under attack by unknown assailants who were later scared away by her guards.
Akullo did not take this matter lightly and the following day she picked a few of her belongings and left to unknown place where she is currently residing.
She was heard saying that matters of security cannot be taken lightly because life is irreplaceable.
She reportedly cited the issue of Joan Kagezi who was gunned down by unknown gunmen riding on a motorcycle.
Akullo said that two attempts on her life is an indicator that she is not safe and will never at any one time take the threat lightly since this is the matter to do with her life.
Grace Akullo has investigated very high profile cases in the country and has of recent surfaced on the list of the Ugandans who are wanted by terrorists including her boss Kale Kayihura plus John Ndunguse.
It is also prudent to reveal that Ugandans who have been implicated in the Global Fund scandal and OPM scam can as well take advantage of the impending Terror threat and avenge on the CIID boss to hoodwink the public that it’s terrorists who could have done so.
Just a week ago Joan Namazzi Kagezi the leading Senior Principal State Attorney and prosecutor in the July 11th, 2010 bombing in Uganda case was shot dead in what police say was a planned assassination.
Ms Kagezi was reportedly shot by two assailants who had been trailing her on a boda boda motorcycle.
