7 strict guidelines to follow if you must attend Nyege Nyege festival

The government of Uganda under the Prime minister’s office has issued strict 7 guiddlines to follow if the Nyege Nyege festival is to take place.
The festival is scheduled to take place from 15th – 18th September 2022 at Itanda falls in Jinja.
The Speaker of Parliament Hon.Anita Among expressed her concern over the festival and said ” we are talking about the morality of this country,we are talking about our children. You are trying to promote tourism at the expense of our children, we are not going to allow this function to take place” and directed the ministry of tourism and ethics and integrity to stop the forthcoming festival to take place in Jinja.
Members of Parliament became divided over the event since then.
Here are the strict guidelines
- Minors (below 18 years ) are barred from the festival.
- Sex orgies and nudity are prohibited from the festival.
- Narcotics and other drugs are not allowed at the festival.
- Security personnel from the ministry of ethics will have access to the festival for purposes of monitoring the activities.
- Vulgar language, bonking sessions, songs and expressions are prohibited.
- The organizer which is Busoga Kingdom is to sign undertaking police force right to impromptu for purposes of monitoring the activities of the event.
- Uganda Police Force will work with the organizers to enforce the guidelines and breach of the guidelines will leading to closing of the event.
