Timbe: We Can Win The Kenyan league

Having lead sides to domestic titles in Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania, Sam Timbe has one of the best coaching resumes in Africa right now, and the veteran tactician has vowed to fight until the final day of this term with Kenyan side Sofapaka.
The Nairobi side, who in 2010 were coached by another Ugandan Sam Simbwa together with third placed Thika United, trail Kenyan Premier League leaders Gor Mahia by nine points, although the coach believes even that lead can be overturned.
“The crop of players we have at Sofapaka are very talented and determined and that is what I need to achieve my objectives,” he told The Star.
“We can win the league,” he insisted. “In fact, the situation we are now in reminds me of my stint with Yanga in Tanzania when we trailed Simba by six points at around this stage of the season.
“We later won the league title on the final day of the season.”
