FUFA Promises Cranes Players Shs33m Each For AFCON Qualification

Charges: 25,000/= (Ordinary Stands), 60,000/= (VIP) & 150,000 (VVIP)
In a bid to boost morale among Uganda Cranes players, the Federation of Uganda Football Association has promised to give players and members of the technical team $10,000 (sh33m) each if they qualify for the African Cup of Nations.
FUFA President Moses Magogo told players that they will be thanked in a special way upon qualification. He said this during a dinner Serene Suites in Mutundwe on Thursday evening,
“Each player and member of the technical team will get $10,000 if we make it to AFCON on Sunday,” Magogo promised.
He added that all the outstanding arrears owed to players and officials in the current campaign were settled.

UPDF chief, Gen. Edward Katumba Wamala who was the chief guest at the dinner also urged them to work as a team.
Cranes is taking on Comoros on Sunday September 4, at 5:00pm at Nambole in the last game of group stages to determine who will qualify for the 2017 AFCON in Gabon.
Uganda last competed in AFCON in 1978 where it was the 2nd runners up.
