AGONY! MP Sseggona loses 100 pigs to swine fever, daughter fights for her life

If you are to meet celebrated legislator Medard Sseggona, avoid mentioning the word pig because the man is nursing untold trauma after losing 100 pigs to the deadly swine fever.

In April 2022, Lubega was alerted by his workers about the deadly disease that had attacked his piggery that started with a few animals and before he realized, the disease had swept through his farm in Budo-Wakiso district.

However, it isn’t the only tragedy that has befallen the lawmaker because recently, he was in hospital with his daughter who was battling a lethal brain tumour and the news was first revealed by Robina Rwakoojo (Chairperson Legal Committee) who informed the Committee at the start of budget process that Sseggona wouldn’t attend the meetings because his daughter was slated for an operation.
