Bombers Boosted With Training Package
National Boxing team, The Bombers has received a package from Haks Investments ahead of the All Africa Boxing Championship (ABC) slated for 4th -19th August 2015 in Congo Brazzaville.
The package was mainly foodstuffs intended to boost the team’s daily training sessions which had been re-scheduled to three days a week citing lack of facilities to keep the boxers in a residential training.
The package included; maize flour, rice, beans, sugar, cooking and wheat floor.
The package was delivered to boxers by Haks director Isaac Muyanja at the Lugogo Sports centre.
Fred Kavuma, the boxing federation spokes person received the package on behalf of the Boxing Council and commended Haks Investments for the effort put in to support the game.
“This is a very timely offer because it came in time when our store had nothing in it to support the training sessions for our boys, we thank our colleagues from Haks for the love they have shown us and we will do everything to ensure that we keep the relationship moving,” said Kavuma.
The squad in camp constitutes of over 26 national boxers who were summoned by Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) to prepare for various tournaments.
Elite Boxers (19-40 Yrs): Rogders Semitala (Bantam), Fazil Juma Kaggwa and Umar Mutebi (l/fly) Marvin Omondi, Muhammad Kassim (fly), Nasir Bashir, Brian Sekyejwe (bantam) Hassan Abdu, Moses Mukiibiv(lightweight), Muhammaed Serunkuma, Tonny Mukiibi (l/welter), Nasser Bukenya, David Ochan, Isaac Kakande (welter), Medi Lubega, Tabu Batista (middleweight) Kennedy Katende, Reagan Ssimbwa (l/heavy), Willy Kyakony, Solomon Geko (heavyweight), Mike Sekabembe, Paul Kayondo (super heavyweight).
Youth Team (17-18 yrs): Brian Lwanga (l/fly), Herbert Kalungi, Yasin Adinan (bantam), Hassan Kamya (light weight), Latib Muwonge (l/welter), Stanley Mugerwa (middleweight), Caeser Serugo (middleweight), Wasswa Solomon (l/heavy), Tonny Labeja (heavyweight) and Geofrey Kakeeto (fly).
